The Knipex cable shears 95 12 225 StepCut XL are suitable for cutting single-wire cables made of copper or aluminum up to 35mm2, multi-wire cables up to 70mm2 and fine-wire cables up to 120mm2. The power joint, the long legs and the optimized cutting edges enable a cut that is up to 60% easier than with compact cable shears. It has two cutting areas: the graduated main cutting edge holds smaller and larger cables as close to the joint as possible when cutting, and the front cutting edge is used for gradually separating (nibbling) very large cables. The cutting edges are also laser-hardened, with a cutting edge hardness of approx. 56 HRC. The StepCut XL cable shears offer comfortable one-hand and two-hand operation thanks to the minimized leg width, even with large cable diameters, and a clamp protection prevents crushing injuries.
